No North Carolinian should have to choose between feeding their children and seeking medical care. In 2019, in North Carolina, we have an opportunity to expand medicaid, an opportunity that will provide 500,000 North Carolinians with healthcare. This goes further than just providing citizens with healthcare, this will bring $4 billion into our economy, expanding Medicaid will create tens of thousands of new jobs in North Carolina and finally it will ensure that our rural hospitals stay open. Healthier people means a healthier North Carolina and a healthier North Carolina means a state that can and will be a national leader in healthcare.
